Windy Hollow Speedway History

Briefly -
Hal Miller built the Windy Hollow Fairgrounds in 1967 and hosted a Pro Rodeo in 67 and '68. The main guest of the '68 rodeo was the Lone Ranger!

The grandstands were in place and the concrete wall and fence was constructed in 1969 for the opening of the D-shaped Windy Hollow Speedway.

Owensoro Dragstrip became Windy Hollow Dragstrip in 1971 when the dragstrip was closed on Veach Rd after opening in 1958.
